EXPLORE THE ISLAND

Hvar is an island with breathtaking beauty and The Old Townhouse puts you right in the heart of it.

Positioned in the centre of Stari Grad you will find yourself immersed in local culture while being less than 100m from the sea. So hike or cycle right from your front door, take a 10 minute stroll to the nearest beach and dive into the Adriatic, discover the finest eateries and bars right around the corner, or practice yoga in your apartment.

We are always happy to give our guests tips on where to go and what to do, so if you need any advice, please do ask.

Moving to such a beautiful part of the world, in the middle of the Adriatic, it became paramount to us to use eco-friendly and sustainable materials as much as possible.

Restoring the house ourselves meant we were able to make conscious decisions from the very beginning. Material such as hemp, lime, rattan and bamboo have been used throughout to create pure spaces that are tactile and earth friendly.

As individuals, small changes can make a big difference. You will notice we have replaced everyday items with more sustainable alternatives.

We encourage all our guests to embrace the local, care for their surroundings and consider their impact
